Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to some of the questions we get asked most often.

“Golf Cart,” “PTV,” “LSV,” — what difference does it make?

These classifications represent different vehicle capabilities and legal statuses. PTVs (Personal Transport Vehicles) can reach speeds of up to 19 mph and may include additional features for use on private property or public roads, where permitted. LSVs (Low-Speed Vehicles) are automotive-class vehicles by the NHTSA, requiring advanced safety features and allowing for registration and insurance as automobiles. Tomberlin's LSVs exceed the government requirements, offering enhanced safety, durability, and performance.

Can these vehicles be legally driven on public roads?

Yes, in most states, low-speed vehicles (LSVs) can be driven on public roads with posted speed limits of 35 mph or less. However, regulations can vary by state, so we recommend checking with your local DMV for the most accurate information.

How does the 5-year limited warranty work, and what does it cover?

The Tomberlin 5-year limited warranty covers parts and labor for the chassis frame, upper structure, front and rear bodies, and specific suspension components. The EVOLVE lithium battery pack is covered for 5 years/36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Additional systems and components have separate coverage limits. For comprehensive details, please consult with your Tomberlin dealer.

Jasmine L., from Canyon Lake

I’ve gotta say, living in our big community, my Tomberlin has changed the game. It’s super handy for getting around to the pool, golf course, or just over to a friend’s place. The telematics lets me keep tabs on my ride from my phone, which is pretty cool. And it doesn’t hurt that it looks sharp and rides smooth — my neighbors are always asking about it. Riding around in my Tomberlin just makes life here that much better.”
